PC-DMIS Scripting
PC-DMIS Scripts are incredibly useful and versatile bits of code - they can range from incredibly simple to highly complex.
​
Created either within PC-DMIS itself or in a text editor, they can be inserted into the program, run independently or even assigned to a custom button on a toolbar.
​
Examples of scripts include:

Generate report data in a specified format (i.e. CSV) often for input into third part SPC packages

Auto save or archive program data

Refresh the report window after report generation to allow multiple reports to be saved in different locations

Automatically generate external alignments based in input parameters for palletised inspection

Custom VB Applications
Whilst scripts are good for automating many processes, they are limited in scope, especially when user interaction is either required or desired.

For more advanced solutions, we can develop custom VB applications which interact with PC-Dmis, allowing for a more integrated experience.

Examples of these type of solution include:

Operator interfaces - allow users to select and run programs safely and easily (RunDmis)

Report generation and analysis tools - automatically save all report data, and provide tools for sorting, distributing and analysing CMM data (RepDmis)

Industrial Automation
As the world moves to more and more automated solutions, integrating inspection directly into the production line can offer many benefits: real-time data feedback into the machines making the parts so variances can be controlled before parts are produced out of tolerance, and lights out running around the clock to maximise plant utilisation
